SAFEGUARDING AND CHILD PROTECTION
We place the highest priority on safeguarding children in our care to ensure that we promote the health, well-being, and safety of the children at all times. Any parents with concerns can see the head teacher right away. We have a clear safeguarding and child protection policy at Udichi, which is followed by all school staff effectively.
INSIDE OUR SCHOOL
The safety of our students has always been our prime priority. Everything in our classrooms has a specific use or purpose. There is nothing in the prepared environment that a child cannot interact with. Furniture are minimalist and scaled down to the child's size and is within easy reach.
We partner with parents through constant diary interaction, parent-teacher interaction sessions and open house events, to help children build the right foundation for learning and life.
Our endeavor for quality extends to our kitchen as well, where freshly cooked personalized meals are individually inspected by us before it reaches your child's plate.
STARTING SCHOOL AND RECEPTION
Children can attend playgroup from the age of two.
Parents are welcome to telephone and make an appointment through the office staff to come and view the school.

Parents are urged to send their children dressed in accordance with the school uniform.
We also ask the parents to ensure that your child's name is clearly marked on all items of clothing.

THE CURRICULUM
The curriculum at Udichi is designed to meet the specific academic needs of our children. A strong emphasis is placed on speaking, listening, reading, writing, mathematics, and physical development.
Learning and topics are developed through play and children's interest. Children access focused activities in all areas, specifically communication, language, mathematics and physical development.
Special classes on nutrition and health education designed to facilitate the voluntary adoption. Pupil's work is either subject based or organized through a topic approach spanning two or more subjects. It also includes cross curricular areas such as health education and environmental studies, always taking account of equal opportunities. Staff with consideration of varying abilities, use both whole class and group teaching strategies. Our work is carefully structured so that each year the children's knowledge and skills are reinforced and extended.
We have a whole school approach to our work, with all staff working closely together enabling each child to make an easy progression from one year to the next.
NUTRITION AND HEALTH EDUCATION
Nutrition and health education are an integral part of our curriculum. By incorporating 30 minutes of nutrition education per week into the existing physical education curriculum and with other school subjects as well; we practice a combination of education and techniques designed to facilitate the voluntary adoption of health and food choices and alternative food and nutrition-connected behavior for betterment and maintenance of the health condition of a child.

STUDENT WELFARE TEAM
Our student welfare team comprising of the class in charge, lead teacher, assistant and helper meet bi-monthly to discuss children's academic and behavioral progress. Students who need extra help receive special class. By taking these measures we try to ensure that no child is lacking behind.
